**Supplemental on Call Manufacturing Process Engineer**  Supplemental On\-Call engineers are hourly part\-time employees that are expected to work flexible hours\. Employees cannot exceed 32 hours per week\. This includes the ability to work any of our three shifts and weekends\. Supplemental employees are not eligible for the GM Benefits Program; however, they are paid a highly competitive rate of pay\.  **Description:**  General areas of support include manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling of all areas\. A primary function will be to assist the production teams as the technical resource on part quality issues\. The off\-shift process engineer will be responsible for follow up to process changes/validations, tool trials, process capability, etc\. and critical communications associated with these tasks\.  Responsible for:   Technical resource to support part quality concerns   Technical resource to support tooling concerns and issues   Support day shift process engineer on tool tests, process changes, data collection and cross shift communications   Assist in monitoring process capability and ensuring corrections are in place to prevent quality disruptions\.   Assist in root cause analysis of part/process variation   Critical communications link back to all process engineers on day shift   Support Maintenance on equipment issues when required  **Qualifications:**   Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines   Experience in blueprint reading / GD&T   Demonstrate a strong level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members to solve problems   Knowledge of statistical methods as applied to process control   Knowledge of Quality Systems and Gauging Methods   Experience with Engine Component Machining processes preferred  **Education:**   Bachelors degree with major in engineering, or currently enrolled\. Equivalent training/experience also considered\.
