Direct the preparation, supervision and implementation of major capital projects that have a major impact on the growth and performance of Structural Ceramics. Supervisory responsibility for contract personnel (including Managers) involved in major capital projects. Overall responsibility for the maintenance of the manufacturing operations including PM's and machine maintenance, as well as facility infrastructure and security. + Conceive, create, develop, and initiate innovative engineering ideas for viable new equipment designs and mechanisms for production machinery to promote more efficient and profitable processes that are in line with the facility's future state operating plan. + Prepare capital proposals to include scope of work, capital estimates, equipment descriptions, man-power requirements, cost savings any environmental impact. Prepare and manage the capital project plan to insure all capital projects are completed on-time, within specification and at or below budget. + Maintain the efficient operation of all machinery, equipment and facility infrastructure i.e. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, through a robust and accurate PM process, and the proactive management of the maintenance staff. + Act as a project manager for all major projects under his/her jurisdiction by assuming responsibility for all phases of project work that expedite and fulfill stated goals. + Responsible for the conceptual design, engineering analysis and search for and development of equipment designs which satisfy customer needs. + The incumbent must be able to provide clear and understandable direction/guidance to subordinates and to articulate and convey the significance of work to higher level personnel. + As a technical specialist, he/she serves the company in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes for an assigned area. This could involve major modifications to existing equipment with newly designed equipment that more efficiently serves production needs or the application of an entirely new process being utilized in the manufacture of an entirely new product line. + Must maintain all machinery, equipment and facility infrastructure in an optimal manner. + Moves the facility towards operational excellence by leading and championing their WCM Pillar + Must possess very strong influencing and communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to convince and influence others in a poised and professional manner.
