Description:

Position Summary:The QA-QC Inspector, under general supervision, inspects mechanical and electrical finished product and products in process; inspects and receives into stock incoming parts and sub-assemblies including metal materials.  The Inspector shall maintain a calibration system for mechanical tools and electronic test equipment, as well as maintain material HEAT traceability database.Key Responsibilities:Job ResponsibilitiesInspect soldering and component installations where required to meet IPC-J-STD-001FInspect machined metal parts and incoming bar stock for GP:50 Machining ServicePerform receiving/inspection of mechanical and electrical parts and materials for specifications and purchase order conformityCreate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessaryAssist in managing the calibration process and maintain records for all Industrial and Aerospace electrical/mechanical test equipment and calibration inspection tools.Maintain material traceability records and databaseInspect welded components to meet requirements of AWS D17.1:2010Needed SkillsAbility to read and interpret electrical assembly diagrams and mechanical drawingsAbility to use both digital and analog outside, inside, and depth micrometers and calipersAbility to inspect soldered installations to meet IPC-J-STD-001F and weld to meet AWS-D17.1:201Ability to use an optical microscope and optical comparatorAbility to compose data review reportsComputer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and familiarity with a MRP programQualificationsAssociates Degree or equivalent from a two-year accredited college or technical school or minimum two years proven work experience in at least three of the principal duties.EOE/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity* Knowledge sets include: Calipers, Gauges or inspection fixtures, Micrometers, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet software.
